Patients with rosacea, very often be diagnosed as eczema, often have irritated skin symptoms on their face, whereas the condition will continue to relapse. In fact, the cause of rosacea is unknown, but it is related to lesser skin collagen production comparing with people of their age. This will make the subcutaneous blood vessels more easily to dilate, so the patient will blush easily as well as having inflammatory responses when drinking, exposed to UV radiation or having an upsurge of emotions. As the cause of this disease is unknown, therefore there is currently no radical treatment. Patients are recommended to take prescription antibiotics, apply antibiotic ointment, and avoid alcohol and UV exposure, in order to reduce the chance of reoccurrence.
